What can I say? Food is my blessing and my curse. It has been as long as I can remember. I grew up in the midwest eating weekly Sunday night Chinese food, pizza, burgers and lots of lamb chops. My mother made great sandwiches and can navigate a mean grill. I now have been dieting for over 25 years. Although I haven’t been on a ‘diet’ for about 8 years. I have been calling them “cleanses” lately. I recently began therapy with a cognitive therapist specializing in eating disorders. She is fantastic and Im learning a ton. I’m getting honest and it is liberating.
By profession, I am a chef, by experience – I am a wellness consultant. I specialize in alternative eating and reworking recipes for picky eaters and food intolerances. I can make the best brisket in town as well as the best raw chocolates and a coconut vegetable smoothie that would knock your socks off. I’m a food chameleon, and I love what I do.
Thank you in advance for reading this blog. It seems an odd form of healing, but I’m willing to try anything at this point and if one person gets something from my journey or can share some of their journey with me… well then it’s all worth it…
